Fissure House

Fissure House is built into the terrain, between solid walls and exposed rock.

The house follows a narrow cut through the ground, keeping parts of the original rock visible. Small openings bring in natural light and create changing views as you move through the space.

Stone and concrete give the interior a quiet, solid character, while the roughness of the rock keeps the connection to the site.

A simple cut in the ground becomes both shelter and passage.
